The 51st edition of the Translémanique en Solitaire lived up to all its promises. Bringing together no fewer than 125 competitors, the race took place in extremely varied conditions, which represented a major challenge for all competitors, with light thermal breezes during the first half of the race, followed by sustained conditions, thunderstorms and rain on the return leg.
Already leading the race at the halfway mark, Philippe Seguret (PRO YACHTING NIVOSE 1933) crossed the finish line at 3h49’28 “”. He beat Nicolas Groux (MSC) by a quarter of an hour and Arnaud Gavairon (Pétrel) by 50 minutes, but both were penalized by an hour for an early start. In the end, it was Guillaume Girod, fourth on the finishing line, who took second place in real time, ahead of Nicolas Groux (MSC) and David Bugnon (MB’s).
